Malin Gabriella Nordin (b. 1988) is a Stockholm based artist working primarily with the medium of painting. Malin Gabriella Nordin is associated with her abundantly colorful paintings, often depicting abstract motives suggestive of flourishing nature. Inspired by the transcendental aspects of existence and exhibiting influences derived from art-historical and philosophical movements, her work conveys a timeless quality which allows for enthralling results when paired with contemporary input and ideals. Nordin’s effortless movement between mediums results in a rich output that includes drawings, collages and large-scale metal sculptures.

"I am interested in how color shifts through its encounter with other colors, and how movement and presence emerge through the act of painting itself. Process is central to my practice: something is always lost in the making while something else comes into being, only to transform again into a new form. This continuous cycle runs throughout my work, with elements from earlier paintings finding new life in later ones. My practice is intuitive and constantly evolving, and I strive to keep the process open to the unexpected."
