Residency

The residency program is an application-based opportunity for artists based outside of New York, welcoming selected participants from around the world for two to three months.

During the residence, artists are given the opportunity to advance their practice while building meaningful connections across the vibrant cultural landscape of New York City. Through introductions to collectors and gallerists, as well as engagement with the local community in Greenpoint, residents become part of a dynamic network that supports both creative and professional growth.

Each residency culminates in the donation of a work created during the artist’s stay, contributing to the MAF collection and legacy. Long after the program concludes, artists continue to be an essential part of the Mack Art Foundation community, building enduring connections and maintaining a lifelong home within New York City's artistic community.
